Lexington, Ky. – Aug. 15, 2019 – Young, developing horses were the focal point of the Rolex Stadium on Thursday during the Bluegrass Festival Horse Show as pairs gained valuable show experience as well as chased qualifying points towards the Classic Champions, Inc. Developing Jumper Tour weekend championships. Many horse-and-rider partnerships were also using Thursday’s classes as one of their final opportunities in the show ring to prepare for the year-end championships in September. Proving to be the best of the day in the Classic Champions, Inc. Developing Jumper Tour 7-Year-Old Jumpers, Hardin Towell and Taboo Holding’s Angel Twist sped to victory to add a win to the horse’s growing record. In the 6-year-old section, Mattias Ekeroth and Haydee M led the pack, while David O’Brien and Octavius SCF topped the leaderboard for the 5-year-old class.

Lexington, Ky. – July 31, 2019 – The Classic Champions Developing Jumper Tour kicked off its fifth show of the eight-part tour Wednesday at the Kentucky Summer Classic with a talented collection of up-and-coming young horses tackling the 5, 6 and 7-year-old divisions. While Aaron Vale and Gray’s Inn topped the leaderboard in the 5-year-old class held in the Walnut Ring, the Rolex Stadium saw David O’Brien emerging victorious with the fastest double-clear round in the 7-Year-Old Jumpers. The 6-Year-Old division followed, where Vale topped the leaderboard once again, this time competing three horses in the class before riding away with a one-two finish with Vander Esch and Carina, respectively.

A talented collection of up-and-coming young horses tackled the 5-year-old and 6-year-old divisions in the Walnut Ring on Wednesday, while Grace Long and Andrew Kocher’s Happiness VD Hazel HOF emerged with the fastest clear round in the 7-Year-Old Jumpers set in the Rolex Stadium. Long tripped the timers in 36.521 seconds, and Aaron Vale was hot on her tail, finishing second in the class on Thinks Like A Horse’s Prescott in 37.319 seconds. Ridden by Jennifer Waxman, Spy Coast Farm LLC’s Maui SCF finished the jump-off in third place in 39.494 seconds.
